Car Snow Removal Methods & Parking Locations on Snowy Days

2024-02-06

In recent days, the central and eastern regions of my country will encounter the largest and longest rain and snow weather process since this

winter. In order to cope with the heavy snow weather, the editor has compiled some rain and snow weather precautions and snow removal

methods.

一、Wiper

1.Before snowfall: It is very correct to stand the wipers in advance to prevent the wipers and windshield from freezing together.

2.Manually pull up the wiper: There is a thin layer of snow, or the snow is very soft, or it is not too frozen. In order to avoid

excessive resistance and burning the motor after the wiper is turned on, you should pull it up by hand before turning on the

wiper.

Make sure the wiper blades are not frozen to the glass before using them. .

3. Warm air melts the ice on the wiper: If the snow on the windshield is too thick or icing occurs, use warm air to increase the

temperature and wait until the ice and snow melt before using the wiper.

4. Before driving, make sure the wipers are working properly. Otherwise, muddy water on the road will splash onto the front

windshield, obstructing your vision and making it impossible to drive safely.

5. Turn off the wipers and turn off the engine before parking. Some car owners forget to turn off the wipers, and when they start
the car the next day, the wipers automatically turn on. In this case, the frozen wiper blades can easily be burned out.

6. Never use hot water to melt ice and snow. The water will travel along the drain pipes and freeze the wiper strips and drain pipes,
making it even more troublesome. Moreover, doing so can easily cause the windows to burst and the wipers to deform due to
temperature changes.

二、windshield
1. Front windshield: Adjust the air conditioner to warm air mode, front windshield defrost mode and turn on the maximum air
volume, so that the warm air of the air conditioner can increase the temperature to melt the snow on the front windshield.
2. Rear windshield: Turn on the rear windshield defrost mode (heating wires distributed on the rear windshield) to melt snow.
However, it should be reminded that if the rear windshield heating wire is turned on when the temperature is extremely cold, it may
cause the glass to burst, so it is not suitable to turn on this mode in extremely cold environments.

三、License plates, lights, doors

1. Covering the vehicle license plate with snow will be considered as intentional blocking of the license plate. The consequences

of this will only bring you a maximum penalty of 12 points. Therefore, in order to avoid violating national traffic laws, it is better

to remove the snow from the license plate.

2. Clear the snow from the headlights. This will not only allow the headlights to provide normal lighting effects for vehicle driving, but
also serve as a warning to other traffic participants on the road.

3. If the handle or door is unfortunately frozen, don't just pull it hard. You can try pouring some winter glass water on it and pull it

slowly until it opens. Or go to an auto repair shop and blow it with hot air.

四、Snow removal tools: snow shovel/ice shovel, car duster, gloves

1. Using a car duster to remove snow is the choice of most car owners nowadays. First of all, it can be used to dust the car body and
has certain versatility. Secondly, the fiber wire used in the duster is very soft and will not damage the car when removing snow.

Paint damage. However, because the dense fiber wires will carry more and more snow during the snow removal process, they will
become heavier and heavier to use, and it is still more laborious to operate.

2. Multifunctional snow shovel, mainly used to remove snow and frost on the glass.

A snow shovel and a car duster are perfect partners for snow removal. If you live in the north where it often snows heavily in winter,

these two pieces of equipment are a must.

五、Parking in the snow
Before it snows:
It's best to park your car in a garage during snowy weather.
When you have to park in the open air, be sure to choose a parking location and try not to park under a tree. After snow, there is often
thick snow on the trees. After the temperature changes between day and night, ice or ice cubes will form. Once the branches

If it shakes, it will fall off, which will cause great damage to the sunroof, glass and paint of your car.

After it snows:
In snowy days, there are often places where the temperature is high during the day and a lot of snow melts. If you park your car in
these places overnight, the water will freeze again.

If the car is parked here, the tires and the road will freeze together. If you don't pay attention and start the car rashly, it will deform the
tire tread, or it will directly tear the tire and cause a puncture, so be careful not to drive the car on a snowy night.

Park on waterlogged roads.
